Hoss Talking You Chose:

The correct answer is three to six.

The remuda, from the Spanish "to exchange," is the outfit's entire collection of horses, averaging between 100 to 150. Cowboys working on the ranch have several horses in their "string." These include mounts that specialize in particular tasks, such as cutting cattle, river crossing, or night riding. While a cowboy may have more than one "hoss," he is possessive of his string and it's an insult to ride another man's horse.
