History or Mis-story?
When a city, state, or country has been around for a while, legends tend to grow up about "the old days." For instance, we have the tale of Founding Father George Washington cutting down the cherry tree, then admitting the deed because, he supposedly said, "I cannot tell a lie." Some of these tales are based on true events, while others are just myths.
