As you rotate this face you will notice that the orientation of the image switches from convex to concave and back again. It appears convex as soon as enough of the image is visible to be recognized as a face. This is because we recognize faces as convex objects and therefore as soon as we recognize an object as a face, the brain will perceive it as a convex object.
