Jazz for Young People at Lincoln Center
Posted: December 12th, 2011

Rafael Pi Roman visits the House of Swing, otherwise known as Jazz at Lincoln Center, where young people are getting their first taste of what many consider America’s true classical music: jazz. Jazz at Lincoln Center has a number of programs designed to educate kids about all aspects of jazz, including its contributions to our history and cultural heritage. We had the opportunity to participate in some of the Center’s workshops and performances, and also to speak with its Director of Education Todd Stoll and its Artistic Director, 9-time Grammy Award winner, jazz master and educator extraordinaire, Wynton Marsalis.
