Montgomery Clift and Lee Remick in Wild River (1960)

This week’s question: what’s your favorite Montgomery Clift film?

As for REEL 13 host Richard Peña: “Even by the standards of Hollywood, Clift was universally considered a rare beauty, a man whose delicate, almost ethereal looks were somewhere between then-standard masculine and feminine ideals of attractiveness.  It’s not a massive filmography, but is filled with a number of fine films. I think my vote would go to Wild River, an underrated film by a consistently overrated director, Elia Kazan.”
