Alexander Heffner, the grandson of the late program creator and host Richard Heffner, who died on December 17, 2013, takes on the role of host. He will continue the series’ more than 50 year tradition of engaging viewers through a thoughtful excursion into the world of ideas. Well ahead of its time, this weekly public television series has over the years welcomed hundreds of interesting and significant persons from all fields of intellectual endeavor to speak freely and to share their thoughts and ideas with an important audience of American “Influentials.”
