NJ Spotlight News | Clip | Plan for Amazon hub at Newark airport is scrapped
A controversial plan to build an Amazon cargo hub at Newark airport has officially been scrapped after nearly a year of protests by activists who argue the facility would put more of an environmental burden on communities of color that are already over-polluted. The online retail giant signed a 20-year lease last August to open two 250,000 square-foot air cargo facilities next to the airport.
