Newark water customers will find water from its Pequannock Treatment Plant tastes better and looks clearer in about a year's time after the city finishes a $23 modernization that will upgrade filter and control systems. "...the color will be a little purer. And it’ll remove a lot of organic taste and odor that occasionally you get," says plant operator and engineer Jerry Notte.
