Most people who don’t have health insurance through their jobs sign up for insurance provided through the Affordable Care Act. According to a new report by New Jersey Policy Perspective, because health insurance in the U.S. is so closely tied to employment, those most likely to be uninsured are people of low income, since they’re working part-time jobs or at places that don’t offer benefits.
