It’s been seven years since Shoal Harbor in Middletown was last dredged, and boaters are worried they’ll damage their boats and their livelihoods if they run onto the sand shoals collecting under the water. Announcing federal funding of $8 million to dredge Shoal Harbor, Rep. Frank Pallone said bids for the project could come as soon as September and work should start early next year.
