Supporters cheered and danced for joy outside the state Senate after lawmakers there eked out the 21 votes needed to pass the Temp Workers Bill of Rights. For advocates, it's been a long, hard road against the powerful business lobby. "All these people -- all these hard workers -- they deserve it. They deserve better rights, better life," said organizer Steven Mercado.
