NJ Spotlight News | Clip | Lake communities hope for no algal blooms this summer

Lake communities fear a repeat of the disastrous 2019 summer season, when harmful blooms prompted the Department of Environmental Protection to close beaches. They've spent two years and millions of dollars on programs designed to suppress growth of algae by keeping the nutrients that feed them under control. Projects include everything from aerators to rain gardens to new sewer systems.
