The Biden administration is extending the freeze on student loan payments, a pandemic-era policy that began in March, 2020 to help people struggling to make their payments. The latest pause was scheduled to expire on Jan. 1, but will now stretch until as late as June, 2023, as the White House's broader debt forgiveness plan remains tied up in the courts.
