The state assembly hopes four new bills will help cut down on car thefts in New Jersey. More than 14,000 vehicles have been stolen statewide this year, a 9% bump from 2021. During a hearing for these bills on Monday, law enforcement explained that high-end cars make up most of that increase and described the difficulties in stopping those thieves.
