New York NOW | Episode | S2009 E5: Marriage Equality Vote

The New York State Senate votes on the marriage equality bill proposed (again) by Gov. Paterson. While supporters at the Capitol had high hopes of its passage, it was defeated 38-24, with no votes in favor of passage from Republicans. Also, Gov. Paterson says the legislature is still short of the $500 million he says is needed to close the budget gap.
