For more than 5 months, ICE WARRIORS followed the U.S. sled hockey team on their road to the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. These remarkable competitors—experienced athletes and rookie players, high school students and military veterans wounded in action—shared one goal: to make history with a repeat gold medal win.
Medal Quest kicks off with an introduction to “the best athletes in the world” – the elite athletes of the Paralympic Games. Competing in sports as different as wheelchair basketball, archery, judo, cycling, and more, these American athletes personify the grit, the strategy, and the skill it takes to go for the gold.
