One of the realities in Mississippi is that the lack of economic mobility is exacerbated by a lack of physical mobility. Nearly half the state’s population is obese. In the heart of the Mississippi Delta in Greenville, the Good Samaritan Health Center treats 3,000 uninsured patients for many of the diseases that stem from obesity.
