METROFOCUS: DECEMBER 3, 2019

December 04, 2019 at 5:30 am

Director of the Census for New York City Julie Menin will tell us how the city plans to ensure that each resident of the five boroughs is accounted for, and why that accurate count should matter to you. At a time when American students from economically deprived schools are often ill-prepared for the global and digital economy, the film “Without a Net: The Digital Divide in America,” explores how technology can provide opportunities for learning and leveling the playing field. The lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is a New York City and world-wide symbol of Christmas. Ahead of NBC’s annual broadcast of the tree lightening tomorrow night, we will be treated to a special history lesson from Al Roker.

Aired on December 3, 2019.
