TONIGHT ON METROFOCUS

June 13, 2018 at 5:30 am

A decade of transit delays looms for New Yorkers as the subway system is repaired. But, will Governor Cuomo approve the $19 billion price tag that comes with it? Mother Nature is ensuring that Manhattan remains a livable city. In the documentary “Refugee Kids: One Small School Takes on the World,” refugee students from the most hostile regions of the globe come to the USA to seek refuge and get an education. In turn, they share their strength, resilience, and courage. We have a preview. It’s a part of New York we have all seen, but few have ever been allowed to enter… until tonight. Photographer, Christopher Payne, has got your ticket to North Brother Island.

Aired on June 12, 2018.
