TONIGHT ON METROFOCUS

December 07, 2017 at 5:30 am

Time Magazine has named “The Silence Breakers,” referring to the women and men who have come forward to start a movement to end sexual harassment in the workplace, as its person of the year for 2017. We’re at Time Inc. with the story. Former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson, now a tireless advocate for workplace equality and the empowerment of women, joins us to share her story. Author Saladin Ambar explores the life and legacy of former Mayor Mario Cuomo in his book “American Cicero: Mario Cuomo and the Defense of American Liberalism.” Ambar joins us to talk about one of America’s leading liberal voices. Director Rory Kennedy and actor Jamie Foxx team up to take on the inequality of technology resources in America’s public education system. Academy Award nominee Kennedy joins us to talk about the documentary “Without A Net: The Digital Divide in America.”

Aired on December 6, 2017.
