> TONIGHT ON 'METRO FOCUS,' FROM IMMIGRANT TO MEDAL OF HONOR WINNER.

CAPTAIN GROVER TAKES IT TO THE EIGHTH SECOND OF COURAGE THAT CHANGES HIS LIFE AND SAVES THE LIVES OF OTHERS.

FOR SOME VETS, THE REAL BATTLE BEGINS WHEN THEY COME HOME.

NOW, THERE IS HELP FOR THEM AND THEIR FAMILY AS THEY ATTEMPT TO HEAL.

75 YEARS AFTER THE RELEASE, 'CASA 'CASABLANCA.'

ROLLING STONE CALLS HER A TOXIC ADVENTURE, WE FOLLOW WHY THIS MOTHER AND ACTIVIST WHO HAS THROWN HERSELF INTO AN ENVIRONMENTAL WAR THAT MANY BELIEVES IT IS NOT WINNABLE.

ALL THAT AND MORE AS 'METRO FOCUS' STARTS RIGHT NOW.

THIS IS 'METRO FOCUS' WITH RAFAEL PI RAMON AND JACK FORD AND JACKIE FLANAGAN.

FUNDING FOR MANY PROGRAM WAS PROVIDED BY --

GOOD EVENING AND WELCOME TO 'METRO FOCUS,' I AM JENNIFER FLANAGAN.

IN AUGUST OF 2012, CAPTAIN GROVER CAME FACE TO FACE WITH A SUICIDE FRONT BOMBER WHILE FIGHTING IN THE FRONT LINE OF AFGHANISTAN.

HE TACTKLED TO SAVE LIVES AT TH RISK OF HIS OWN.

AFTER 30 SURGERIES, THE CAPTAIN HAVE BEEN BESTOWED THE HIGHEST HONOR AND HE'S TELLING THE STORY OF WHAT MOTIVATED HIS HEROISM AND EIGHT SECONDS OF COURAGE AND A MEDAL OF HONOR.

CAPTAIN, WELCOME TO 'METRO FOCUS.'

THANK YOU FOR HAVING ME.

THERE IS SO MANY STORY INVOLVED IN YOUR BOOK.

TAKE ME BACK TO THAT MOMENT WHEN YOU MADE THE DECISION, WHAT DROVE YOU.

RWE ARE IN A LITTLE CITY AND AT THAT TIME, I RAN A PERSONALIZED SECURITY DETAIL FOR COLONEL MINGUS AND WE ARE GOING THROUGH SECURITY MEETING AND WE HAVE DONE THIS MULTIPLE TIMES AND SO WE NEED A ROUTE AND IT WAS RELATIVELY SAFE.

WHEN WE ARRIVED THAT DAY, THINGS DID NOT FEEL RIGHT AND SO WE LANDED OUR COMBAT POST ABOUT 100 MILES AWAY FROM OUR MEETING.

WE HAD TO WALK OFF OUR MILITARY BASE TO GET TO THIS LOCATION FOR THE MEETING AND DURING THAT WALK, THINGS FELT A LITTLE DIFFERENT.

UH-HUH.

AT FIRST IT IS FINE BUT THEN JUST, WE FELT THAT WE WERE BEING FOLLOWED AND GETTING THE SIXTH SENSE OF EERIE FEELING, THAT'S WHEN IT HAPPENED AND TWO MOTORCYCLES CAME AT US, AND AT THAT POINT, I KNEW.

OUR ARMY UP FRONT DID A GOOD JOB INTERCEPTED AND MORE CYCLES, THERE WAS A DIVERSION.

A MAN CAME OUT OF THE STRUCTURE TO OUR LEFT AND HE WAS WEARING A SUICIDE VEST.

HE WAS WORKING BACKWARD AND DID A 90 DEGREES TURN AND I WAS THE CLOSEST TO HIM AND SINCE I IDENTIFIED HIM AND I GRABBED HIM AND REALIZED HE HAD A VEST I DON'T KNOW AND I YELLED 'BOMB' AND HE DETONATED.

WOW, AFTER THAT HAPPENS, YOUR STORY GETS OUT AND YOU CAME BACK TO THE STATE AND YOU ARE AWARDED THE CONGRESSIONAL MEDAL OF HONOR, WHAT WERE YOUR FEELINGS ABOUT THAT?

SOMETIMES SOLDIERS DON'T FEEL THE HEROISM THAT SO MANY LOOK AT YOU AND FEEL.

WELL, YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT CELEBRATING THE WORST DAY OF MY LIFE AND ON AUGUST 8, 2012, IT IS ABOUT MAJOR GRAY AND KENNEDY, FOUR INCREDIBLE MEN WHO NEVER CAME HOME.

THEY WERE KILLED BY THE BOMBER.

I WAS SOMEHOW MAGICALLY SPARED AND SO IT TOOK ME A LONG TIME TO RECOVER FROM THE SURVIVOR'S GUILT THAN THE REALITY OF MY LIFE.

I HAD TO LIVE MY LIFE EVERY SINGLE DAY TO HONOR THESE INCREDIBLE MEN AND FAMILIES.

PRESIDENT OBAMA PRESENTED ME THE MEDAL OF HONOR, TO ME, IT WAS AN AWKWARD MOMENT AND I FELT ASHAMED OF BECAUSE HERE I WAS, THEY'RE CONGRATULATING ME TELLING ME I WAS A HERO WHEN I WAS LOOKING AT THREE FAMILIES AT THE TEAM OF THE WHITE HOUSE WHO LOST A KEY MEMBER OF THEIR FAMILY, A LOVED ONE.

TO ME, I NEVER DID MY JOB TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY BECAUSE FOUR OF MY BROTHERS DID NOT COME HOME.

THAT'S SOMETHING I HAD TO DEAL WITH INTERNALLY.

I AM A MEMBERS OF THEIR FAMILY.

IT IS TOUGH.

WELL, AS DIFFICULT AS THAT WAS, WE DO STILL THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SERVICE.

I DO WANT TO TURN THIS A LITTLE BIT OF YOUR EXPERIENCE FROM GOING FROM IMMIGRANT TO AMERICA TO MEDAL OF HONOR WINNER.

HOW OLD WERE YOU WHEN YOU FIRST CAME TO AMERICA?

I WAS GOING TO MY TWELFTH BIRTHDAY.

I WAS ADOPTED BY LARRY GROVER, MY FATHER.

WE MOVED TO THE CHICAGO AREA.

IT WAS A CULTURE SHOCK, ONE, I DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH AND I LEARNED QUICKLY.

YEAH.

IT WAS VERY DIFFERENT.

I AM SO GRATEFUL.

I AM SO GRATEFUL THAT I WAS GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE IT LED ME TO THE PATH THAT I AM ON TODAY.

TAKING US TO THE UNITED STATES AND GIVEN ME THE RIGHT OPPORTUNITY TO FURTHER MY EDUCATION TO THE POINT WHERE I WANT TO JOIN MY MILITARY BASED ON PERSONAL REASONS.

I AM GRATEFUL AND THANKFUL AND BLESSED.

WHERE DO YOU THINK YOUR IMMIGRANT STORY FITS INTO THE LARGER NARRATIVE.

IT IS SOMETHING THAT THIS COUNTRY IS STRUGGLING WITH AT THE MOMENT.

HERE WE HAVE THE AMAZING MOMENT OF HEROISM FROM AN IMMIGRANT.

WHETHER OR NOT YOU WANT TO ADMIT IT IS A GOOD THING HERE, WE HAVE SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO SUCCEED.

THE OPPORTUNITY HERE IS NOT THE SAME ANYWHERE ELSE.

IF YOU WORK HARD AND YOU ASSOCIATE YOURSELF WITH THE RIGHT PEOPLE AND YOU NEVER GIVE UP AND WHEN YOU ARE KNOCKED DOWN AND GET BACKUP, WHEN YOU ARE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY, YOU ACTUALLY, ENJOY THE OPPORTUNITY AND MAKE SURE YOU DO SOMETHING WITH THAT OPPORTUNITY, YOU CAN MAKE SOMETHING YOURSELF THAT'S GREATER THAN YOU EVER THOUGHT YOU COULD.

I NEVER EXPECTED TO BE THE MEDAL OF HONOR, I NEVER WANTED IT AND I NEVER WANTED ANY MEDAL.

I WANT TO SERVE MY COUNTRY HONORABLY.

THIS COUNTRY ALLOWS ME TO CALL MYSELF AMERICA.

CAPTAIN GROVER, I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR YOUR SERVICE, OF COURSE, THIS BOOK IS AN INCREDIBLE READ, JUST ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE AS AN IMMIGRANT A IN AMERICA AND FIGHTING THE WAR IN AFGHANISTAN.

THANK YOU FOR JOINING US AND SHARING YOUR STORY.

THANK YOU.

♪ FOR MORE THAN 25 YEARS, THE NONPROFIT FISHER HOUSE FOUNDATION HAS PROVIDED FREE LODGING FOR MORE THAN 300,000 FAMILIES OF PATIENTS RECEIVING MEDICAL CARE AT MAJOR VA AND DEPARTMENTS OF DEFENSE HOSPITALS.

MORE THAN FISHER HOUSES ALLOWING FAMILY AND SERVICE MEMBERS AND VETERANS TO BE CLOSE TO THEIR LOVED ONES TO FOCUS ON WHAT'S IMPORTANT IS THE HEALING PROCESS.

90 FAMILIES COULD BE STAYING AT A FISHER HOUSE AT NO COST TO THEM.

THE NEW FACILITY WILL PROVIDE FREE LODGING TO FAMILIES AND SERVICE MEMBERS AND VETERANS TREATED AT THE BRONX, VA, THESE TWO HOUSES WILL BE SAVING THEM AROUND $3 MILLION.

WE ARE PROUD TO WELCOME KEN FISHER, THE CHAIRMAN AND CEO OF THE FISHER HOUSE FOUNDATION WHO DEDICATED HIS CAREER TO SUPPORTING MILITARY PERSONNEL AND FAMILIES AND WHILE SERVING THE COMANAGING PARTNERS AT FISHER BROTHERS.

ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFULLY OWNED AND MANAGEMENT COMPANY.

YOU AND YOUR FAMILY HAD SUCH AN EXTRAORDINARY SUCCESS.

IT BRINGS TO MIND THE NOTION OF DOING WELL AND DOING GOOD AND BEING IN A POSITION TO DO GOOD.

HOW DID YOU FIRST GET FOCUS ON THIS IDEA.

HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THE IDEA OF HERE IS WHAT WE NEED TO DO TO HELP.

WE NEED TO PROVIDE THESE HOUSING FOR FAMILY MEMBERS.

WELL, IT WAS FOUNDED BY MY LATE UNCLE Z, ZACH FISHER, BACKN THE 1990.

IT WAS A BASIC UNDER OFFICIATED NEED.

WHERE DOES THEIR FAMILY STAYS WHEN THEIR LOVED ONES ARE IN THE HOSPITAL?

WHEN THIS WAS BROUGHT TO ZACH'S ATTENTION.

ZACH BEING A DEVELOPER WHICH IS WHAT WE ARE HAD ACCESS NOT ONLY THE CONTRACTORS BUT TO ARCHITECTS AND YOU KNOW WH WHAT -- INSTEAD OF SITTING BACK AND WORRY ABOUT WHAT THE NEEDS AND UNMET NEEDS THERE ARE, ZACH DECIDED TO BE APART OF THE SOLUTION.

HE CALLED UP THE ARCHITECTS AND THEY DESIGN THE FIRST FEW HOUSES.

WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT WHAT SACRIFICES ARE BEING MADE EVERY SINGLE DAY BY THESE FAMILIES OF THE ONES WHO ARE SERVING OR THE ONES WHO HAVE TO SERVE, THESE ARE SFIACRIFICES THAT WE TAKE F GRANT IT AND WE REALLY NEED TO HONOR AND THAT'S WHY WE WORK SO HARD IN THIS.

WE ARE CERTAINLY FOCUSING ON VETERANS COMING BACK.

AS YOU JUST MENTIONED A MINUTE AGO AND WHAT THAT WE WANT TO IGNORE THE FAMILIES BUT WE DON'T ALWAYS THINK OF THEIR ROLE, NOT JUST SORT OF BEING THERE BUT IN THE HEALING PROCESS.

THE ENTIRE FAMILY SURGE, YOU KNOW THAT AND YOU HAVE BEEN AROUND THESE ISSUES FOR QUITE SOMETIME.

THE ENTIRE FAMILY SERVES.

WHAT I ALWAYS SAY ABOUT THE PROGRAM AND HOW I ZRIDESCRIBE IO PEOPLE IS CAN YOU IMAGINE YOURSELF BEING IN THE HOSPITAL AND NOT HAVING FAMILY SUPPORT.

I WOULD BET YOU THAT IT WOULD AFFECT PHYSICALLY HEALING AND MENTAL HEALING AS WELL.

IT IS NOT JUST THE HOSPITAL'S SAY, IT IS ALSO WHEN THEY ARE RELEASED, THE REHABILITATION AND SO FORTH.

THE FAMILY PLAYS A ROLE IN THAT, TOO.

THAT'S WHY THERE ARE FISHER HOUSES IN MULTIPLE LOCATIONS BECAUSE WE HAD FAMILIES THAT USED TWO FISHER HOUSES AND THEY HAVE GONE FROM DOD FACILITY TO A A FACILITY WHERE THERE IS BEEN FISHER HOUSES.

WE HAD FAMILIES STAYING AS LONG AS A YEAR AND COMBINED HOUSES BECAUSE THEY GONE FROM THE HEALING PROCESS NOW.

ONE OF THE THINGS WE KNOW FOR A FACT IS THESE MEN AND WOMEN ARE LIVING THROUGH CATASTROPHIC WOUNDS THAT'S FATAL, SAY VIETNAM.

NOW IT IS ALMOST 95% AND HIGHER.

THESE MEN AND WOMEN ARE LIVING THROUGH HORRIFIC WOUNDS.

WHAT IT MEANS IS LONGER HOSPITAL STAYS AND REHABILITATIONS.

THEY ARE DESIGNED THE SAME WAY OF THE INTERIOR.

WHEN YOU HAVE A FORMULA THAT WORKS, YOU STICK WITH IT WHEN FAMILIES CAN GET TOGETHER AND DECOMPRESS AND WHAT'S HAPPENED INSIDE THE HOUSES IS THAT A SUPPORT SYSTEM IS FORMED.

WHEN THEY COME TO A FISHER HOUSE, THEY'RE NOT GIVING UP ANYTHING.

A TYPICAL HOME WOULD COST 6 MILLION TO BUILD.

WE WANT THESE FACILITIES AND HOMES TO REALLY BE AND HONOR THE SACRIFICES THAT THESE FAMILIES HAVE MADE.

AND WHEN THEY WALK IN IS A GREAT THRILL AND WOW, THEY CAN STAY FOR FREE.

IT HELPS THEM AND THAT'S WHEN THOER HEALING BEGINS.

YOU HAVE DEVOTED A GREAT DEAL AND THE EPIPHANY OF DOING WELL AND DOING GOOD.

WE CERTAINLY THANK YOU AND IT IS MARVELOUS WORKING AND I HOPE WE'LL GET BACK TOGETHER AND TALK SOME MORE.

LOVE TO.

THANK YOU AGAIN.

FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THE FISHER HOUSE FOUNDATION, LOG ONTO YOUR WEBSITE AT METROFOCUS.ORG.

I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU NEVER TO PLAY.

YOU MUST REMEMBER THIS.

'CASABLANCA' ITS THE FILM OF THE 20TH CENTURY.

WHO BETTER TO TALK TO US THAN INGRID BERMAN.

SHE'S NOW THE HOST OF THE XM SATELLITE SHOW.

I AM SO GLAD THAT YOU ARE HERE TO DISH.

HELLO.

'CASABLANCA' GOT THREE ACADEMY AWARDS AND MANY OF THE SCENES YOU SAY THEY WERE NOT PLANNED.

WELL, THEY HAD SEVERAL VERSIONS OF WHAT THEY'RE GOING TO DO.

THE SCRIPT CAME AND IT WAS REWRITTEN.

THE EPSTEIN TWINS CAME IN AND THERE WERE TWO BRIGHT KIDS AND THEY DID A LOT.

THEY WENT OFF AND MAKE THE PROPAGANDA FILM AND HOWARD KOCH CAME IN AND ADDED THE POLITICAL ELEMENT.

AT THE ENDING THEY WERE NOT QUITE SURE WHETHER MY MOTHER'S CHARACTER GOES OFF WITH HER HUSBAND OR STAYS WITH THE CAFE'S OWNER.

SO THEY HAD IDEAS AND THEY DID THE ENDING AND THE FIRST ONE IN WHICH SHE GOES OFF WITH THE HUSBAND, THAT'S GOOD ENOUGH, LETS GUNPET OUT OF HERE.

NOBODY IS INTERESTED AND MAKING THE MONEY AND CERTAINLY NOT MY MOTHER.

WHY?

BECAUSE SHE WAS PLANNING TO DO WITH LARRY COOPER WHICH SHE REALLY LOVED.

OH, FOR THOSE DAYS, YOU WERE UNDER THE GUIDE OF THE SYSTEM.

IF YOU WERE NOT WORKING, THEY LEND YOU OUT.

YEAH, YOU DID NOT WANT TO DO IT.

IN FACT, THEY WERE DPGOING TO SHOOT THAT SCENE THAT YOU JUST SAW WAS GOING TO BE SHOT OVER AGAIN.

MAX STEINER WHO WROTE THE MUSIC HATED THAT SONG.

HE HATED THAT SONG.

HOW COULD YOU HATE THAT SONG.

HE DID NOT WRITE IT.

THE SONG WAS THERE.

HE WANTED TO WRITE HIS OWN SONG BECAUSE HE DID ALL THE MUSIC.

THEY COULD NOT DO IT BECAUSE THE SECOND THEY SHOT THAT LAST S SCENE, MY MOTHER CUT HER HAIR OFF.

THEY COULD NOT SHOOT IT AGAIN.

THE OTHER INTERESTING THING ABOUT THAT SCENE IS WILSON COULD NOT PLAY THE PIANO.

HE DID NOT PLAY THE PIANO SO YOU WILL NOTICE WHEN YOU WATCH IT AGAIN, YOU DON'T SEE HIS HANDS.

[ LAUGHTER ]

THEY'RE LOOKING OVER HIS SHOULDERS OR SOMETHING.

AND OF COURSE, THERE WAS NO RELATIONSHIP WITH BOGAERTS.

PEOPLE HAVE ALWAYS SAID OH, THEY MUST HAVE KNOWN EACH OTHER OR LOOKED AT EACH OTHER.

THAT'S ACTING.

HER FAMOUS LINE WAS I KISSED HIM BUT I NEVER KNEW HIM.

OUCH.

HE WAS ALWAYS IN HIS TRAILER.

HE HAD HIS OWN DEMONS.

HE WAS IN HIS OWN TRAILER.

ALCOHOL.

HE HAD A WIFE WHO WAS QUITE JEALOUS WHO THOUGHT THERE IS SOMETHING I THINK GONE BETWEEN MY MOTHER AND HUMPHREY BOGAERTS.

NOT.

[ LAUGHTER ]

SHE REALLY HAD NO RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM AT ALL.

DID YOU EVER TALK TO HER ABOUT WHY SHE LEFT YOUR DAD FOR RUSSOLINI?

YES, SHE FELL IN LOVE?

THAT SIMPLE

YES .

YES, AS A TEN-YEAR-OLD, FIRST OF ALL, I DID NOT HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE TO FEEL ANYTHING.

EXCEPT FOUR MOTHER WAS LEAVING YOU?

I DIDN'T KNOW SHE WAS LEAVING.

YOU ARE ASKING ME A QUESTION I HAVE TO GO BACK TO WHEN I AM TEN-YEAR-OLD.

SHE TWWENT TO MAKE FILMS QUITE OFTEN.

THIS TIME SHE DID NOT COME BACK BECAUSE SHE GOT PREGNANT.

THAT'S WHY SHE DID NOT COME BACK.

WITH ALBERTO.

YES, SHE FELL IN LOVE.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE?

'NOTORIOUS.'

I LOVED HER PERFORMANCE IN IT AND IT CAPTURES HER REAL ESSENCE AND WHAT SHE HAD WAS SUCH EXPRESSIVE EYES WHICH WAS THEATER AND FILM ACTING REQUIRES THAT.

AS PART OF IT, I OFTEN THOUGHT WHY, I THINK IT MIGHT HAVE TO DO WITH FACIAL CONSTRUCTION.

WHERE EVER YOUR EYE BROWS OR LID WOULD DEPEND ON HOW MUCH THE LIGHTS HIT OUR EYES OR HOW MUCH THEY SHINE.

HER FACE WAS SO PHOTOGENIC.

YOU SAW THE PART HER FATHER WAS A PHOTOGRAPHER.

YOU REMEMBER THAT?

.

UH-HUH.

AS A LITTLE GIRL, SHE LOOKS THROUGH THE LENS OF HER FATHER.

THAT'S WHERE LOVE CAME THROUGH.

THE LENS.

SHE SMILES AND SHE JUMPED AND PLAYED AND WAS IN COSTUMES THROUGH THE LENS TO A MAN.

IN HER LATER LIFE, SHE CERTAINLY FELL IN LOVE WITH THE DIRECTOR.

SHE HAD A LOVE AFFAIR WITH THE WAR PHOTOGRAPHER, I WON'T REVEAL ALL THE PEOPLE SHE HAD LOVE AFFAIRS WITH.

[ LAUGHTER ]

VERY OFTEN IT WAS SOMEBODY WHO LOOKED AT HER THROUGH A LENS AND THAT'S WHY SHE WAS VERY COMFORTABLE WITH A LENS AND OTHER ACTORS SOMETIMES FIND THE CAMERA INTRUSIVE OR DAUNTING.

SHE MADE LOVE TO THE CAMERA.

IT WAS A TERRIFIC DOCUMENTARY AND YOU WERE TERRIFIC TO BE HERE TODAY.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

THANK YOU.

> ADVOCATE, BIOLOGYIST AND WIFE AND MOTHER AND CANCER SURVIVOR.

A NEW DOCUMENTARY CALLED 'UNFRACTURED.'

WE FOLLOW HER JOURNEY OF THE ENVIRONMENTALIST WHO SEEK TO OUT LAWED FRACKING.

SHE HAS DEVOTED ALL OF HER TIME AND ENERGY AND MONEY TO BAN THIS TECHNIQUE ESPECIALLY IN NEW YORK STATE.

LETS TAKE A LOOK.

[ APPLAUSE ]

GOVERNOR CUOMO, THOUSANDS OF US HAVE ARRIVED AT YOUR D DOORSTEP.

THE WHOLE WORLD CAN SEE US.

[ APPLAUSE ] GOVERNOR CUOCUOMO, MY HUSBAND, F DICASTRO IS NOT HERE TODAY.

ON MAY 31st, HE SUFFERED A STROKE AND I LEFT HIS SIDE FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE THAT DATE BECAUSE I KNOW AND PEOPLE ALL GATHERED HERE TODAY KNOW THE WORK THAT WE MUST DO TOGETHER TO BAN FRACKING IS BIGGER THAN ANYONE OF OUR INDIVIDUAL TRAGEDIES.

WE HAVE TO FIGHT OR OUR HUSBANDS AND CHILDREN AND EVERYBODY.

GOVERNOR CUOMO, WE ARE ON THE ROAD AND WE ARE NOT STOPPING UNTIL WE GET THERE.

HERE IS THE MAP, JOIN US!

I AM UNFRACTURED.

[ APPLAUSE ]

DOCTOR SANDER, THANK YOU FOR JOINING US.

THANK YOU FOR HAVING ME.

THERE IS A LOT OF POWER TO IT.

I AM CURIOUS AS TO HOW YOU PERSONALLY GOT INVOLVED IN THIS ISSUE IN THE BEGINNING.

WELL, I BEGAN AS A BIOLOGIST.

WHEN I DISCOVERED THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY HAD LEAKED OUT TO THE END OF MY STREET AND I BEGAN TO WHAT I KNEW AS A BIOLOGIST OF THE TOXIC CHEMICAL THAT'S USED AND BEGAN TO SPEAK OUT ABOUT THAT.

WHAT THE FRACTURES CAPTURE IS MY OWN PERSONAL EVOLUTION.

THIS DOCUMENTARY AS YOU MENTION, IT FOLLOWS YOUR JOURNEY AND IT IS VERY PERSONAL.

WERE YOU OKAY WITH THAT AS PART OF A STORY TELLING HERE?

THE FILM MAKING WAS CHASING THE STORY AND WE DID NOT KNOW HOW IT WAS GOING TO TURN OUT NEITHER SHE OR I AND IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL OF IT, MY HUSBAND HAD A SERIES OF STROKES.

SO THE CAMERA CAPTURES THOSE MOMENTS AS WELL.

I THINK THE CONFLICT IN THE FILM WHICH IS THE CONFLICT OF SO MANY OF WHITE HOUSE ARE WORKING ON, SOCIAL JUSTICE ISSUES AND THERE IS -- WE TAKE ON THESE BATTLES BECAUSE WHAT WE LOVE, WE MUST PROTECT.

I THINK IT IS FAIR TO SAY THAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT COMPLEX ISSUES AND IN DOING MY OWN RESEARCH TO LEAD UP TO THIS CONVERSATION.

I WOULD PLUG IN FRACKING PROS AND CONS, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO THAT PERSON?

I UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING AND I VALUE THAT BUT I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THESE ASPECTS THAT SEEM TO SUGGEST THAT THERE IS SOME VALUES IN FRACKING.

THERE IS NO VALUE IN FRACKING.

IT IS DESTRUCTED.

THE DATA HERE ARE CLEAR, YOU KNOW THAT ANYTHING THAT NATURAL GAS CAN DO, RENEWABLE ENERGY CAN DO BETTER.

IT TURNS OUT THAT WE CANNOT STABILIZE OUR CLIMATE WITHOUT AND KEEPING COAL AND NATURAL GAS IN THE GROUND.

THAT CONVERSATION IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW OVER IN BOND TSA CLIMATE TALKS CONTINUE.

THE RECOGNITION THAT NATURAL GAS, ALTHOUGH IT IS INVISIBLE AND IT APPEARS TO BE CLEAN IS STILL LEAKING IN THE PROCESS OF EX TR EXTRACTIONS.

FURTHER THESE JOBS THAT ARE PROVIDE OF OUR TEMPORARY AND TOXIC AND DANGEROUS.

THERE IS NO WAY THAT YOU CAN DO AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BY THE WAY BLOWING UP THE BEDROCK OF OUR STATE AND PUTTING AT RISK OUR AREA AND WATER IN ORDER TO EXTRACT THE LAST WHISK OF FOSSIL FUEL.

IT BECOMES A HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUE.

MY SCIENTIFIC OBJECTIVITY THEN YIELDS TO NOT POLITICAL NEUTRALITY BUT OF ADVOCACY.

THAT'S WHAT SCIENCE SHOULD DO.

IT IS A POWERFUL AND THOUGHT PROVOKING LOOK AT THIS ISSUE.

DOCTOR SANDER, I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

IT PREMIERS ON SATURDAY AT NOVEMBER 11th.
