Looking back on last night’s election, historians may argue that President-elect Trump’s victory was a watershed moment for America’s media. Throughout the election, news outlets, have been largely accused and vilified by many in the political world for allegedly giving rise to a political novice- like our president-elect. But as the billionaire businessman ascends to the Oval Office- how should the media cover him moving forward and can fences be mended? New York Times op-ed columnist Frank Bruni says this is the media’s moment of truth and he joins us with an argument for how the media and America should proceed now that the votes are in.
