Remembering David Bowie, 1947 – 2016

After news broke Sunday evening that rock legend and fashion icon David Bowie had died just two days after his 69th birthday, tributes to the artist grew around the city. MetroFocus contributor and NY1 reporter Michael Herzenberg remembers the singer and songwriter’s legacy and takes us to makeshift memorials outside the artist’s SoHo home and the New York Theatre Workshop, where his show “Lazarus” is finishing a three-month run.

Tell us: What’s your favorite David Bowie memory?

Maybe it was a legendary New York City performance. Maybe it was a song that was the perfect soundtrack to a pivotal moment in your life. Please your memories below in the comments.
