It’s been 50 years since the passage of New York City’s Landmarks Preservation law.

During that time more than 1,300 structures have been designated as landmarks, but it might surprise you to know that more than 100 interiors have also received landmark designation.

A recent exhibit at the New York School of Interior Design titled Rescued, Restored, Reimagined: New York’s Landmark Interiors highlighted the importance of preserving these significant interior spaces.

Architect Hugh Hardy, one of the curators of this exhibit, joined anchor Jack Ford to talk about the preservation of interior spaces.
