Mayor de Blasio’s State of the City Address Focuses on Affordable Housing

The political news in the city this week also included Mayor Bill de Blasio’s second State of the City address.

Speaking at Baruch College, the mayor had a long list of priorities for the coming year: raising the minimum wage, launching a new city-wide ferry system, expanding  bus rapid transit and providing housing for veterans. But his big agenda item was building affordable housing — and lots of it.
