The Future of New York to air September 17 on THIRTEEN and WLIW21

This week, the Wall Street Journal will begin a series of live events, The Future of New York, aimed at bringing together New York’s top executives and influencers to discuss key issues, from policy to the arts.  The events will be moderated by the Journal‘s top editors.

THIRTEEN will tape the first event, set for broadcast on Friday, September at 9:30 p.m. on THIRTEEN and 11:30 p.m. on WLIW21.

Hosted by the New York Public Library, the event will feature Governor David A. Paterson and former New York Governors George E. Pataki and Eliot Spitzer.  The panel will be moderated by the Wall Street Journal‘s Greater New York reporter, Michael Howard Saul.  The discussion will focus on the New York’s top priorities, including balancing the state budget, reviving the local economy, and fostering compromise in Albany.
