Melody Marcus joined the Board of Directors of The Friends of Thirteen, Inc. in January 2017. She and her husband are longtime supporters and Patrons of WNET. Melody’s professional career spanned fifteen years in higher education publishing. After leaving the corporate world and having children, Melody applied her editorial and marketing skills to several different volunteer roles. At her sons’ nursery school, she served as Editor of the school newsletter, online auction administrator, and advisor on the Nursery School Committee. Currently she is actively engaged with fundraising efforts at both The Dwight School and LREI (Little Red Elizabeth Irwin) through various events such as silent auctions, bake sales, and book fairs. In recent years, Melody has also conducted alumni interviews for applicants to the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to the Friends of Thirteen, Melody serves on Thirteen’s Patron Committee, working to solidify and increase patron-level support for WNET.
