Daniel T. Allen joined the Board of Directors of The Friends of Thirteen, Inc. in January 2017. He is a supervising producer at Business Insider where he develops new episodic series and live productions. Daniel began his career at WNET, first as an intern for Friends of THIRTEEN, and then went on to serve as the first Director of Community Engagement for Friends. He also helped develop local programming for the station including supplements to Ken Burns’ “The National Parks” and MetroFocus. Dan was instrumental in establishing and cementing WNET’s partnership with the Macaulay Honors College – helping students gain real world experience in public while at the same time connecting the station to a talented pool of passionate young pre-professionals with diverse interests.
