Carolyn Hsu-Balcer joined the Board of Directors of the Friends of Thirteen, Inc. in 2018. She is a designer, philanthropist, and art collector. Carolyn is a board member of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Foundation, the Asian Art and Overseers’ committees of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, the Asia Society’s Global Council on Asian Arts and Culture, and was a trustee of the China Institute in New York. Carolyn dedicates much of her time to educational causes both here and in China and has organized major conference on education. Carolyn is founder and president of Snopea, Inc. an infant wear company based in New York since 1997. She is a graduate of Wheaton College with a degree in Economics.
