In connection with the broadcast spectrum auction, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) assigned THIRTEEN to a new broadcast frequency. As a result, THIRTEEN will have a channel switch over, which will only affect antenna users. Cable and satellite viewers are not affected.
The switch over date is July 2, 2020 at 9 a.m. To continue watching THIRTEEN with a TV antenna on the switch over date and after, you must rescan your tuner or television (do not do this in advance of the date). It is the same scan that television owners must do to find local channels when setting up a TV or converter box for the first time. If needed, contact the manufacturer of your television for help.
For more information and re-scanning instructions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can also visit the FCC site fcc.gov/TVrescan for a brief instructional video about how to re-scan, or call 1-888-CALLFCC (1-888-225-5322) and press “6” at the prompt for antenna/reception issues, then option 3 for re-scan instructions.
