WNET Celebrates Upcoming Documentary Brooklyn Best With a Trivia Night at Brooklyn Brewery

Guests will have the opportunity to share their favorite Brooklyn memories

May 7, 2014 – New York, NY – On Wednesday, May 21, 2014 WNET, the parent company of New York’s public television stations THIRTEEN and WLIW21 and operator of NJTV, will celebrate the upcoming documentary Brooklyn Best with a THIRTEEN-themed trivia night at the Brooklyn Brewery in Williamsburg.

The event, which is open to the public, will feature Brooklyn Brewery’s award-winning craft beer, as guests compete for prizes in several rounds of THIRTEEN-themed trivia hosted by Quizmaster Ryan Vasko.

Additionally, individuals will be encouraged to share their favorite memories of Brooklyn for an opportunity to be included in the upcoming documentary Brooklyn Best about the beloved borough. For further information and to purchase tickets visit thirteen.org/trivianight.

Currently in production, Brooklyn Best is a new film that showcases the stories of our neighbors, as they recall their most treasured memories and share their local insights about growing up, living in, and experiencing the culture of New York’s “borough of Kings.”

The film will focus on borough residents past and present and will air on THIRTEEN and WLIW21. Viewers may also submit stories, pictures and videos at thirteen.org/brooklyn-best for possible inclusion in the project.

“Brooklyn is the city’s most populous borough and is so culturally diverse,” says Diane Masciale, general manager of WLIW21 and executive producer of local production. “We are excited to connect with the people in the local community and to celebrate the special memories from the place they call home.”
