Growing up in New York during the 80s to the mid-90s, Thirteen was a staple of my childhood. From Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers, Square One TV, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? to Mystery!, Masterpiece Theatre, Nova, Frontline, classic black and white films (where I first saw and fell in love with The Marx Brothers)…Thirteen has shaped my tastes in pop culture and fed my hunger for knowledge beyond the little house in Putnam Valley that I grew up in. No matter where I go in my life, Thirteen will always be a part of it.
