I was riveted to the television set for every episode. This was a ground-breaking 'first' reality series in 1971 about the breakup of a marriage and the intimate exploration of the dynamics of an affluent american family, but in many ways a very typical one caught up in the time and history of that era. I wish there was a follow-up on the Loud family today in addition to the the follow up broadcast about Lance Loud. I walk by the Chelsea Hotel today and think of him and the series. It was truly spectacular.
