My husband and I have watched Thirteen for over 40 years. Whether we’re looking for culture — theatre, music, criticism; history; world and U.S. news — and, of course, decades of Masterpiece Theatre, we always begin our search by looking at what’s happening on THIRTEEN.
We are also proud that about a dozen years ago, our six-year-old daughter was featured playing her little harp in a highly recognizable “cultural collage” corporate identity campaign. The campaign ran for a few years and we received dozens of calls from family and friends, all watching THIRTEEN, who had spotted her. She’s 18 now and still playing, albeit on a grand concert instrument. Too bad that campaign isn’t still on. It would be so satisfying for people to see something they had so enjoyed “back then,” featuring where some of those acts are today. What a way to see ones loyalty to a station!
