I am happy to take advantage of the Newman’s Own matching grant to donate to 13 – especially for the Newshour – the only news I care to watch!!!

(now, can you find some other funny British comedies for 8pm and 8:30pm on Saturday nights – after 30 years of “Keeping up Appearances” and “As Time Goes On” – we’re ready for something else!!! Like AbFab or the Vicar of Dilby, etc.!!!)

It has been my experience that the most meaningful programming – programs which have truly touched my life – have been found on PBS. If I remember correctly, it all started with the appearance and teachings of Leo Buscaglia many, many years ago and continues to this day with the airing of Downton Abbey. Thank you.

We turned 50 the same year ! I thought your ads of looking good were for me
LOVED ZOOM as a child and loved the workbook that went with the show, 13 kept a lonely child feeling included, positive and looking forward. Learned about Israeli unit with England during WWII, which lead to my father telling about a forgotten war story. I am addicted to Downtown Abbey.

Growing up, we had so many things from Thirteen (umbrellas, tote bags, and a Sesame Street monster record), because my parents were ardent supporters. When I had my daughter 13 years ago, I knew that Thirteen would be a big part of her life, too. It’s the one channel I felt comfortable letting her watch. And I get to enjoy the evening programming, especially Downton Abbey!
