?Will Public TV Be Public?? uses Bill Baird's marionettes to tell the history of public television, from its origins, through the signing of the Public Broadcasting Act of 1967 by Lyndon B. Johnson, to the public affairs controversy of the 1970s. Included in this episode is the history of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and the Corporation of Public Broadcasting (CPB).
