Episode Description
This is the Election edition of Borough President for Staten Island. Robert Sam Anson, Lew Feldstein, and Mike Azarra (Staten Island Advance reporter) talk with the candidates for borough president: Robert Connor (Democrat conservative), Ferdinand Marchim (Republican businessman), and Robert Silverman (Liberal travel agent). The issues covered were real estate development, economic development, and the qualifications of the candidates. This segment is followed by a studio disussion debating the competancy of New York State Judges with Robert Sam Anson, the Hon. James Leff, the Hon. Charles Breitel, Jacob Fuchsberg and Lewis Feldstein. The segment is followed by a segment giving equal time to all of the candidates for New York City Controller: Judy Edelman, Communist Party, Leif Johnson, United States Labor Party and Richard Roberts, Socialists Workers' Party.
