Peter Gelb is a terrible bore who spouts cliches. He also takes credit for what are not his ideas or work. He does not offer a single innovative or theorized concept. He is nothing but a banal impresario. For example, neither Gelb nor Kentridge knew of the Shostakovich opera, The Nose–neither originated this hit.
