Writer and illustrator Maira Kalman speaks about her life and distinct work, which you can view in person at the Jewish Museum’s exhibition, “Maira Kalman: Various Illuminations (of a Crazy World)” through July 31, 2011.

    Went to see the Cone sister’s super exhibition; stayed to enjoy the Maira Kalman show. As Tanya said: “Wonderful!”

    Loved this piece on Maira. Her “stan” New Yorker cover produced the first smiles in our home since 9/11. That image started the healing process. Thank you.
