The Waterfalls — Making Public Art video chapters:
so i saw the program and although i am somewhat iffy-mixed on how this piece was funded, and the selection process for artwork, it’s still part of what NY is all about, fabulous, absurd, contradictory.
so here’s my question. a project which i am working on (redoing approximately 2 miles of the esplanade on the East River Waterfront, was awarded a grant related to the creating habitat in the east river. it includes constructing artificial reefs on pile supported structures, different reef balls, and an art piece related to monitoring fish. it also includes documenting this study with a film.
i don’t know what i was smoking or drinking when i thought this up, but the grant received 900k and i am in the process of securing a 900k city local match.
i need help with the film, primarily trying to figure out a budget for this.
is anyone interested in providing pro bono advice?
would love to send the grant application and the artist information if there’s only minimal interest or potential for help.
THANKS SO MUCH!

Thank you for making it possible to view this program. Kept missing it on T.V. Wonderful to view.
