The Dutch Room

It was 400 years ago in 1609 that Henry Hudson, working for the Dutch East India Company, sailed up the river that is now named after him. In celebration of this anniversary, Philippe de Montebello interviews curator Peter Kenny, the Curator of Decorative Arts at the American Wing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Discover the history of the room and what features define it as Dutch.

I thoroughly enjoyed Barry Lewis and his narrative of Dutch New York on PBS. Hoping that PBS viewers get to share more interesting and historical notes on various places on this planet with Barry Lewis narrating. Keep up the terrific work, so glad that I support PBS Thirteen.
