This week in SundayArts news: check out the new exhibit “Barkley L. Hendricks: Birth of the Cool” at the Studio Museum in Harlem The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture teams with City Opera for a 3-part series to honor Black History Month, George Steel is appointed City Opera’s new General Manager and Artistic Director, get a peek at “Global Lens” at MOMA, see the “Cities of Peace” display at the Cathedral of St. John the Devine, get a ticket for White Wave’s Cool New York 2009 Dance Festival in Brooklyn, and BAM announces their Next Stage Campaign.
