Shen Wei

Dancer, choreographer, and painter, Shen Wei, grew up during the Cultural Revolution in China and left in 1995 to learn more about western artistic traditions. He was invited back to stage and design the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. In this profile learn about how he came to find inspiration in modern dance and see clips from his past works, such as The Rite of Spring, Folding, Re-(Part One), and more.
