Daniel Barenboim

New SundayArts host Paula Zahn interviews the renowned pianist and conductor Daniel Barenboim. Playing piano and conducting are his lifelong passions. He recently retired after 15 years as the conductor for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Currently he is the Berlin State Opera’s music director and principle guest conductor at Milan’s La Scala. Barenboim recently performed here in New York last December. His current book discusses the importance of music can have in our lives is the subject of his current book, Music Quickens Time. As a great fan of Daniel Barenboim and a 20 year veteran NYC teacher of Music, I applaud his thoughts and actions. I teach and inspire 400 elementary school students per week. I hope tha
