Daniel Barenboim

Paula Zahn interviews the renowned pianist and conductor Daniel Barenboim, who will soon conduct the Ghustav Mahler cycle along with Pierre Boulez. He recently retired after 15 years as the conductor for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Currently he is the Berlin State Opera’s music director and principle guest conductor at Milan’s La Scala. His current book discusses the importance of music can have in our lives is the subject of his current book, Music Quickens Time. I religeously watch “Sunday Arts” with Paula Zahn, however I missed the beguinning of the Barenboim interview. It is a pitty it can’t be seen here. The part I did see was exceptional. Thank you.
