Jennifer Melick has been writing about classical music since 1990. She started as an editor at MUSICAL AMERICA magazine and is currently managing editor at SYMPHONY magazine. She was a longtime editor at OPERA NEWS magazine, for which she has written profiles of Stephanie Blythe, Olga Borodina, Vladimir Ognovenko, Sarah Connolly, Sylvia McNair, Rodney Gilfry, and many others. She is a recovering oboist who is quite content to sing madrigals rather than make oboe reeds.

Elisabeth Vincentelli is Arts & Entertainment Editor at Time Out New York; her writing has also appeared in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Slate, Salon and The Believer. Susan Yung writes about dance and art for various publications including Dance Magazine, The New York Sun, and Ballet-tanz. She oversees publications at the Brooklyn Academy of Music as well.
