Top Hat (1935): Showman Jerry Travers (Fred Astaire) is working for producer Horace Hardwick (Edward Everett Horton) in London. Jerry demonstrates his new dance steps late one night in Horace’s hotel, much to the annoyance of sleeping Dale Tremont (Ginger Rogers) below. She goes upstairs to complain and the two are immediately attracted to each other. Complications arise when Dale mistakes Jerry for Horace.

Although my real favorite is and has always been FAY WRAY, I’m not immune to other classics such as Astaire & Rogers. I have seen all of their films from Flying down to Rio to The Barkeleys of Broadway, and I plan to see Top Hat again for the umpteenth time, this time on THIRTEEN.
Can’t beat Fred and Ginger! I’ll be watching with bells on. My video dream is a compilation of all their dance numbers, one after the other. Heaven!
PLEASE ask your leader to get rid of those suspenders. Why does he wear them?? He looks nothing like Larry King.
PLEASE!
I wanted to watch the trailer of this film but was
unable to view it because your system does’t work!
One of the dance teachers was planning to teach Fred and Ginger routines. Unfortunately I moved before he started.Doubt that any of the guys could learn to dance up the walls and across the ceilings. Even in those days photography was wonderful. Can’t wait to see the film tonight.
