Synopsis:
In Moonstruck, Cher plays a no-nonsense Brooklyn widow who falls hard for her fiance’s hothead brother. Cher, Olympia Dukakis, and screenwriter John Patrick Shanley (Doubt) all won Oscars for their work on the film.

Norman Jewison was born in Toronto, Ontario in 1926. He was awarded the Irving Thalberg Memorial Award in 1999, and has been nominated for seven Oscars as producer and/or director for Moonstruck (1987), A Soldier’s Story (1984), Fiddler on the Roof (1971), In the Heat of the Night (1967), and The Russians are Coming! The Russians are Coming! (1966). Jewison also produced several episodes of television’s “The Judy Garland Show.”






Love, love this movie. Cher deserved her Oscar win for this.
