Absolutely charming and original. The film maker took the known and turned it into something completely original. From Marceau’s Bip with the flower, to the running of the bulls at Pamplona, to awarding his love two ears and a tail (with the head lights and the license plate). Good arc, good cast, good direction, good camera and editing, good scoring. Perfecto!
I really didn’t like this at all-boring and very cliche in many ways. What is original about it? The running of the bulls was a clever idea but seems to come from no-where.
Let me explain what I meant. When you take what is known and offer it in a different way, it becomes original. Romeo & Juliet = Westside Story. In this case, the writer takes what we know as the typical, small European village romance, and transports it to the streets of NYC. It’s more than just the change of location. I’ve been to bull fights in France, and to the lesser one for children/teens with the ribbons on the horns, and this is an “original” take on bull fights, in that it’s not common or familar. The story, boy meets girl, boy loses, boy get girl, is a classic plot, of course. There’re only a handful of plots that we writers use over and over again. Originality is the telling of a classic plot in a different way. That’s what makes this film original. I hope that explains better what I had said earlier.
The short “Yellow” is better then the others. Nice music.
What a dumb movie.
Very well shot and basically a silent film great bring back the old and make it new again clever the film is beautifully shot
Brilliant and charming!
This whole little piece is excellent, and the music is outstanding.
Ahh I love the main character’s Chaplin antics at the beginning and watching him grow in movement and style as the short goes on. Face your fears day is a nice touch.
Modern Bull running. Great costumes Swell story line. outstanding music.
Three times were OK, but ten times are too many!!!
