Director: Walter Santucci
A surreal, whimsical 2D animation about a group of monsters performing a modern rendition of Johann Pachelbel’s “Kanon in D” in an abandoned Detroit neighborhood. Their DJ, who overslept, rushes to get to the performance in time. The film is a combination of traditional hand-drawn animation and digitally altered photographic backgrounds. The music is likewise a combination of traditional (cello) and modern (electric, guitar and turntables).

Fantastic. Love this short
Lovely! I vote for this one.
Only suggestion I would make is to change up the music just a bit more–it gets too repetitive before the DJ finally shows up. Perhaps do less of the DJ realizing he’s late and more of him mixing.
Otherwise, very well done!
Wow, I voted for this one. It’s great! Love the music!!
great animation skill!
2d is a lot harder than 3d!
this is the best!
All three shorts this week were excellent, but “Pachelbel Kanon” is an absolute delight and gets my vote.
Delightful!
Great stuff. Doorbell guy has and always will be a legend in my mind.
Terrific animation married well to the music.
Nice animation and cool music!!
animation is not that bad, movements are very bland…not much creativity as well. There are many areas that you can improve on.
Umm…the clip was quite dull actually, and it didn’t capture my attention. The storyline was weird…not much creativity too. You should improve it a bit.
I love the music. I thought it was VERY creative! The doorbell guy and the scratcher are my favorites
MARVELOUS! WELL DONE!
I know Walter’s work and this one is perhaps my favorite. I’m a huge fan of his on You Tube, where he has displayed some of his wonderful creations. One day soon, I hope his material will be used on your station. Your audience will love it…I guarantee it.
bootiful
Its a wonderful video and very good animationa
